Research
A/B Guerrilla Testing
Doing research for small businesses wasn’t a formal matter. I needed to get as much information as possible in a fast, organized way. One example of this was doing A/B Testing to determine the best platform for StarHill’s second website.
A brief under 60-second video glance at the A/B test comparison.
The A/B Testing showed that more users preferred the Squarespace version of the site. This includes both staff members accessing the site and potential customers viewing the site.
Real Life Research to create Healthier Communities
This is one of the few things I could share from my work at Galveston County. It’s a resource map that came in handy when gathering info about diseases in the county.
As an Epidemiology Investigator at the Health Department I conducted field research to gather information about the community regarding communicable disease and emergency preparedness. This included qualitative and quantitative methods. I collaborated with data experts, subject matter experts, labs, universities, and businesses to help determine levels of disease spread and create procedures and educational materials to slow the spreading. I also collaborated with other Epidemiologists in Texas and Nationwide (CDC) to address larger issues like Hurricanes and H1N1 Pandemic Flu.
Writing
Bringing thought to life.
I studied my first love, writing, extensively in my undergraduate program, and make a point to write something new everyday.
Here are a few links to current writing samples.
The *Blu* Cabin
This blog post was the compilation of a lot of efforts to create a space for events at StarHill. I did a special trip to the farm to take photos and work through design questions for staff to get this Cabin open for events. It’s beautiful.
Support Malala
On a more personal note, this blog post is on my coaching site. I wanted to do a call out to my grandmother, who was deprived an education. She’s an inspiration to me, to make the most of my privileges as an Indian-American.

Coaching and Training
Coaching
Creating your own business identity takes self reflection. I loved this process with clients and wanted to learn more. Becoming a certified professional coach helps me guide conversations and encourage individuals on their journeys in life and business.
Being a coach also adds to my skills as a trainer. So far, I’ve trained several people on how to make websites who are now web designers themselves!

Training
I’ve led trainings with clients on how to use their websites. Some people I’ve trained have gone on to start their own web design businesses.
Here’s a 78-second video I sent to someone asking me how to get started with Squarespace.
